Spa Hotel Kent Wedding: Amy & David
It was an absolute pleasure to join Amy and David for their wedding at the Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells. I’ve known Dave for years, and from the moment we met up to chat about the big day I could see how good they were together and how chilled it was all going to be.
Plus, the last time I went to the Spa was 10 years ago to do some first aid training, so I was keen to see what they’d done with the place without having to pretend to do CPR on a dummy.
The ceremony was held in the new Spa Temple in the extensive grounds, which couldn’t have looked more beautiful in the midsummer sunshine - thankfully that held out just long enough that the wet weather option of the equally lovely Orangery wasn’t needed!
Dave, an amazing musician, wrote and performed the music for Amy to walk down the aisle to, and later brought the house down with a solo piano performance of Bohemian Rhapsody (the least he could do after reducing all of us to tears with the most emotional speech ever).
Amy (who nailed her own speech too) wanted a super relaxed and fun day surrounded by friends and family, and enjoyed organising it so much that I fully expect her to be starting her own wedding planning business the second they get back from their honeymoon!
I went home from this wedding super excited to see more of these lovely people in the future, which is the best feeling ever. Congrats guys!
